Speaker Profile

Sandra Cassels is a partner in the Burness Construction & Projects Team and is a highly regarded lawyer in this field.  She specialises in all forms of contentious construction including arbitration, adjudication, litigation and mediation.  Sandra has acted for clients in various sectors, in particular roads, wastewater, education and health.

Having previously held the post of Chairperson for both the Scottish Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and the Scottish Committee of the Energy Industries Council (EIC), of which she is a current Main Board Director, Sandra is acknowledged as being at the forefront of advising on dispute resolution options for the Construction and Engineering Industry.
